Welcome to hooeymoon!
He survived the 1960’s and she escaped a 1980’s cult … together they are hooeymoon.
With a great love of many different genres of music that span two lifetimes, hooeymoon has creatively mixed their own sounds and influences into contemporary music. They draw from the best of what the 60’s had to offer, up into modern day artists and most of what happened in between. In the band’s DNA of influences: melody, lyric and guitar work are essential to their music. They kind of like harmony too. Their genre is mixed, but falls into Alternative, Indie, Folk, Singer/Songwriter, and Rock/Contemporary.
What’s in a name? Well, hooeymoon is a longer story so let’s talk about “Different View”. Initially, Different View was just a song on their album, and it had great funky beginning. It wasn’t until they took a damn good picture of their sweet sweet shadow figures…. that it all clicked, and the cd’s title became “Different View”, since Children of the Corn had already been taken.
In their studio, hooeymoon has a sign that leads them in the day-to-day work, it simply states, “there are no rules”.
Hooeymoon has completed two CDs:
✤ Different View (2021) - Set to release on June 14, 2021
✤ hooeymoon (2020)
After working in the studio for a year and a half straight, hooeymoon is focusing their energy on creating new videos, visual art, and gearing up for their next album - which they will begin recording in the fall of 2021.
The band continues to work on their social media presence. The best information about them is on their website, however they also have a technical presence on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. They have also considered joining Tik-Tok...but every time they visit the site, they become mesmerized - after hours of research and laughter…they still haven’t created an account.
